The PWFC is delighted to announce that our 2014 Friendship Con Plus Convention will take
place in the historic city of Manchester, NH. Originally called Nutfield, the city was
established in 1715 on a charter from the Massachusetts Bay Company by a group of 16
families from Londonderry, Ireland. The name changed to Derryfield, Londonderry, then
eventually to Manchester with Derry becoming a separate town. Lots of history in this city
that is the largest in New Hampshire. Our logo represents some of the history of New
Hampshire from the Portsmouth lighthouse to a covered bridge and the now almost extinct
American chestnut tree that were once abundant in New England.
Peter Wingfield has already agreed to be our Guest of Honor for this convention. Just
added in July, Eric Small, the producer/writer /director of 10,000 Days will be joining us.
Edan Wingfield, Peter’s son and a guitar whiz, will also be joining us. And as announced
in late February, Valentine Pelka has been added to the guest list, Also, as announced in
February, Eric will not be able to attend in person, but we will chat with him via video.
