Sanctuary started as a web series and has gained the success to move on to a television series, much as the 10,000 Days producers hope that their series will also do. Sanctuary is the first television series to use live-action actors against virtual sets in the style of the features 300 and Sin City, something else that 10,000 Days is doing.
Amanda Tapping plays Helen Magnus, a 157 year old woman who has dedicated her life to tracking abnormals and exotic creatures that hide among us. She is aided in her mission by her daughter Ashley and her new recruit, forensic psychiatrist Dr. Will Zimmerman played by Robert Dunne. The series is the brain-child of writer-producer Damian Kindler and producer-director Martin Wood, who are executive producing the series with Sam Egan. Jim Byrnes also has a recurring video voice role, reprising his character of Gregory Magnus, who died in the web series.
Sanctuary will be premiering Friday, October 3 with a two-hour opener in the time slot usually occupied by Stargate Atlantis. After that it will settle into its time slot following Atlantis.
The official web site is currently undergoing maintenance (revamping) and is located at: http://www.sanctuaryforall.com/

10,000 Days
Peter is working on a short Web pilot episode for a series that may air on the web or be picked up for television. He is filming his work on the weekend of August 22nd. The series, titled 10,000 Days is a post-apocalyptic tale, set 10,000 days after earth has been hit by a huge asteroid. read more
Peter plays Remy Farnwell, a survivor whose Family was kicked out of “The Observatory” many years ago. “The Observatory” was the initial sanctuary from the floods and devastation that the impact caused. They now live wild in the icy wastes, waiting for the chance to revenge themselves on the other surviving Families.
The pilot is being shot as a ten-minute High Def., high production value piece, on almost no budget, with a view to it being picked up by one of the networks as either a Web series or a full TV series. The pilot makes extensive use of green screen and post-production special effects.
The other cast members include John Schneider (Smallville, Dukes of Hazard) and Kim Myers (The Last Sin Eater). Eric Small is director and writer.
