Appearance at ComicCon

Peter will be at ComicCon to promote the animated movie War of the Worlds—Goliath (see below). The con is sold out but, if you already have tickets, you can find Peter on Sunday, July 26 from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Heavy Metal booth number 1629.

Peter started filming “Stonehenge Apocalypse” the week of June 8th. He plays a British scientist, Dr. John Trousdale in a film for Real One Pictures/Cinetel Films productions, written and directed by Paul Ziller. read more

War of the Worlds—Goliath

Peter, Elizabeth Gracen, Jim Byrnes, and Adrian Paul voiced the characters for the animation War of the Worlds—Goliath scheduled for release on DVD in February 2010. There is now a Web site for the animation. Go to: http://www.metaltv.com/wotw/

Project Edan Holiday Greeting Card Contest

The Peter Wingfield Fan Club is thrilled to announce its first holiday greeting card contest, in which the winning design will be turned into an official PWFC/Project Edan 2009 greeting card and sold through the PWFC with 100% of the proceeds going to Project Edan, raising money to benefit UNICEF’s mission.

The contest is open to all and will run from now until 1 August 2009. The rules can be found at the Project Edan Web site.

The mini-series is called Riverworld. It’s premise: everyone on earth who dies eventually arrives on Riverworld (a world created by aliens), no matter what year their death was in, but they appear young again.

Peter plays Burton, a role based on Captain Sir Richard Francis Burton KCMG FRGS (19 March 1821 – 20 October 1890). Peter was “very excited to be part of this amazing project which [filmed] throughout April, May and June in Vancouver.” He played “a character whose real historical counterpart was an extraordinary man by anyone’s estimation. . . .”

Believe in Zero

UNICEF United States Fund has launched a new campaign called Believe in Zero. It’s mission is to put “an end to the unnecessary deaths of 25,000 children who die each day of preventable causes”. You can support this campaign by signing a petition to President Obama asking him to make child survival a priority of the new Administration. Use the “25,000” button at the top of this page.
